The Curry Companies currently serves all areas of Central Illinois and surrounding states, with terminal locations in Carlinville, Illiopolis, Peoria and Springfield, IL. Hannibal, MO. & Perrysville, IN. We also currently have 15 Ready-Mix locations throughout Illinois as well.

Curry History

The Curry Companies have supported the Central Illinois area with bulk hauling and ready-mix for thousands of projects. Carlinville, Illinois, home of the Curry family business would not be the same today if it was not for the contributions of a dedicated business man.

In 1959 Jim Curry decided to take a chance and build a business that would support his growing family and help the community. First it was delivering ICE and COAL from his first trucks to the Ice Stations, Businesses and Schools in most of the surrounding area towns. Then came the Ready-Mix plants which helped to build the communities we see today.

Curry Ready-Mix has grown from one plant to over 15 locations in Illinois. Hundreds of thousands of yards of concrete have been poured throughout Illinois. If you live in central Illinois, you might have some Curry Ready-Mix concrete in your own yard or business.

Curry Ice & Coal has also grown from a few trucks in Carlinville, to 6 locations throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri. His fleet of over 300 trucks consisting of 39' end dumps is the largest fleet of this type in Illinois. Jim no longer is hauling Ice, but with the demand in power in the 21st century, Curry Ice & Coal will be hauling coal to the power plants for many years to come.

During May, 1999 Lippold & Arnett, Inc. and The Curry Companies merged to combine their extensive operations. This allowed both companies to continue serving their customer base but also gave them the added capability of expanding to meet the ever-increasing needs of the trucking industry. Lippold & Arnett, The Curry Companies Pneumatic Division located in Springfield, IL hauls bulk product all across the United States.
